League Updates

Hey everyone,
I'm having trouble updating the website. I think it's because the web host is doing some upgrades that's supposed to take a few days. Just wanted to keep you posted on some new information:

1. REMINDER:
There will be NO GAMES THIS SUNDAY (3/28) since alot of players will be out of town for a club tournament.
We will resume on 4/4, which will be the last regular league game before the end of season playoffs on 4/11.

2. End of Season Party:
5:30pm at the MLC Community Center (map) on Saturday April 10.
The party will run concurrently with the April Fool's Juggling Festival so there will be plenty of entertainment (Saturday night is the fire party!!). There is also a large field for throwing that pretty plastic thing around. =)
BBQ! We'll provide the meat and ask that you chip in $2 to help buy drinks, sides, desserts, etc.
Too far to drive? We can setup a carpool meetup at Tom Brown Park if you need to. Email us at tallahasseeultimate@gmail.com if you want to do that.
Free camping if you want to fall asleep under the stars.

3. Last week's results:
The Clash defeated Beastie Boys (8 - 7)
Journey forfeited to Spinal Tap
Prince defeated Guns N Roses (13 - 6)

Current Standings:
1T Prince
1T Spinal Tap
3 The Clash
4T Beastie Boys
4T Guns N Roses
6 Journey

4. SUMMER LEAGUE 2010
Planning is in the works. We're just waiting on a confirmation on field reservations and some other odds and ends. Tentatively schedule for Tuesday nights from May 25 - August 1. If you have an idea for a theme, email it to tallahasseeultimate@gmail.com

Tally Classic THIS WEEKEND!

Messsage from the FSU Mens Team:

Dear Tallahassee Ultimate Enthusiasts,

This year Men’s Ultimate at Florida State is welcoming over 40 college ultimate teams to compete in the fifth annual Tally Classic. We are looking to host the best college tournament in the country. In order to make this happen we are going to need your help! If you are interested in volunteering please contact me at bjs08@fsu.edu. We consider this a great opportunity to attract more attention to the burgeoning Ultimate Community in Tallahassee. Help us help you!
Volunteer jobs will include scorekeeping, retail, food prep, security, runner, and supervisor. We need both full and half day volunteers, food will be provided as well as a disc or shirt for full day volunteers. If you are interested, please email your specific availability. We need people from 7am to 10pm on Saturday, and 7am to 6pm on Sunday. We would love to have as much of the Tallahassee Ultimate Community involved in this event as possible. Please feel free to encourage everyone to come out and watch two amazing days of some of the highest level college ultimate in the country.

Thanks to Everyone,
Cheese
