We have some important announcements for you!
Board Nominations
It is time for our annual elections. We will be taking board nominations through next Tuesday August 30th at midnight. Four positions are open for nominations, so if you are interested in volunteering for league, throw your hat in the ring and tell us why you want to be on the board. You CAN nominate yourself (in fact, that's great because then we know you actually want to do it). Email your statement to us at tallahasseeultimate@gmail.com. Statement can include ultimate and leadership experiences, generally why you want to be on the board, and what you want to see happen in the greater TU community. A short paragraph is plenty. We will have an online election, so your statement will be posted for everyone to see. Go here http://www.tallahasseeultimate.com/voting.html to submit your nominations. Captain Nominations

The Tallahassee Ultimate board has 5 members:
Chair
Co-Chair
Secretary
Treasurer
Captains' Liaison*
*Captains' Liaison is not voted on by the community (so don't nominate yourself or anyone else for it), but it is chosen by the rest of the board/captains once captains for the season are selected.
**Board members (except captains' liaison) CANNOT be captains or co-captains.
Most of what we do for league is a group effort, but here is a breakdown of board responsibilities:
ALL Board Members: Determine schedule for league, set league policies, communicate with captains and league members, help set up for regular games, be available to captains and members at games, organize kickoff and finals, facilitate any clinics or social events throughout season.

Chair: Work with City Parks and Rec for field reservations (or anyone else we may rent from)
Vice Chair: liaise with USA Ultimate for sanctioning/insurance
Secretary: manage website, including online voting, registration, and league schedule
Treasurer: manage league funds, collect dues, keep board in the loop on money issues
